Phone Call
It was the evening before the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend, and I was busy making pies and the like for the dinner the following day, when the phone rang.  I answered and a young man's voice responded with, "Mom, it's me, I am down at the bus station. Will you come and pick me up?"

Not knowing what had happened that one of my 3 sons would arrive on the bus, I asked him, "well, who is this?"

The young man answered, "It's me, Mom, Joe."

I replied, "Oh dear, I'm sorry, I'm afraid you have the wrong
Mother."
An optimist is a person who starts a new diet on Thanksgiving Day.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Americans eat more than 22 pounds of tomatoes every year. More than half this amount is eaten in the form of ketchup and tomato sauce.
