Ways To Use Herbs
There are various ways to release a herbs healing Properties.

INFUSION
- is a somewhat formal term for any beverage made by Steeping a herb or herbal blend in boiling water. Medicinal teas are steeped longer and are more potent than teas drunk for pleasure.

TISANE
- is the French word for a herbal infusion. Originally made  from pearl barley and barley water, over the years tisane has become synonymous with all herbal teas.

DECOCTION
- is a method used when a infusion will not release the active ingredients because the plant materials are too coarse. Barks, certain seeds, and roots are brought to a boil in water and simmered, and then the liquid is usually reduced by thirty percent

SYRUPS
-are made by combining infusions or decoctions with honey or unrefined sugar. They mask unpleasant flavors and are soothing to sore throats.

TINCTURES
- are made by steeping a herb or blend of herbs in water and alcohol for up to two weeks. Tinctures have a shelf life of up to two years and are taken diluted in warm water or Fruit juice.

TONIC WINES
- are a great way to make the medicine go down. They're created by submerging tonic herbs in good Quality red or white wines and leaving them to steep for a couple of weeks in your Refrigerator.

STEAM INHALANTS
- are created from the steam of boiling water infused with herbs, Breathing the steam is helpful is cases of nasal congestion due to colds and sinusitis.
