slippery elm flour
nutmeg or other spice
sugar
pint of cold water
teacup of cold water
Mix together a large spoonful each of slippery elm flour and sugar. Stir into the teacup of water and season with nutmeg or any agreeable spice. Pour into the pint of water. Boil, and it is finished. The jelly may be made thick or thin and seasoned to suit your taste.
