Comfrey-Yarrow Bath
There are some herbs that are not highly aromatic, yet are very effective in bath therapy for people. Since ancient times, comfrey and yarrow have been used to soothe, cleanse, and regenerate skin. Yarrow is also an excellent hemostatic that stops bleeding and often heals wounds without scarring. Comfrey was so popular in medieval times that it was
believed to restore virginity with only one bath. So, if you want to follow an herbal tradition you must try at least one
omfrey-yarrow bath. It is an excellent treatment for varicosities and spider veins.

2 quarts water
2 cups each comfrey and yarrow leaves

In a large pan, simmer water. Add comfrey and yarrow leaves. Fresh is preferred, but dried also works well. Two ounces of comfrey root can be substituted for comfrey leaves. Cover and simmer at the lowest heat for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to steep 30 more minutes. Strain and add to a warm bath or foot-bath. Relax and allow  the ancient echoes of centuries past to float through your memory.
It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.
