There are 2 methods for using herbs in your bath. One is to mix the dried herbs and then tie them up in a square of cloth. Hang bag over hot water faucet or drop directly into bath water.
The second method is to simmer the herbs for 5 minutes, steep them for 10, and then pour the mixture into tub through a strainer. The "tea" is stronger and does a better job, plus the fragrance created by simmering the tea is a beautiful bonus
Mint Cooler
A good mix for a hot day. Mix equal parts of peppermint leaves, pine needles and eucalyptus leaves.
Winter Inhalation
Mix equal parts of peppermint leaves, eucalyptus leaves and sage leaves.
Enhance the inhalation by adding 5 to 6 drops of essentail oil to the bathwater, for increased potency. Eucalyptus, peppermint and thyme are appropiate. The Herbal steam helps open sinuses, discourages bacterial growth and reduces pain and inflammation.
