Adding herbs to the bath is certainly one of the easiest forms of Magic. In essence, a tub of water containing a bath sachet is little more than a huge pot of herb tea in which the bather brews. When herbs are placed in warm water they release their energies as well as their scents and color. As such, baths are powerful tools in gaining psychic awareness, drawing love, speeding healing and granting personal protection.

Magical Sachets-also know as herbals charms (or amulets and talismans)-consist of herbs and other materials tied up in bits of cloth. They can be worn every day as a personal power booster or placed on the altar to magically represent you. Sachets are easily made and have a long history. Cloth hasn't always been used. Herbs have been carried in horns, seashells, leather, fur and lockets. Magical rings were made into sachets by placing an appropriate herb below the jewel. Thus, the energies of both gem and herb worked toward the magical goal. Herbs were also sewn into clothing for protective purposes.
Creating Sachets For most sachets, a handful or less of the empower herb mixture is more than enough, depending on its desired size. Household sachets tend to be larger than ones designed to be carried on the person. First, mix the herbs. Empower them with your magical need. Know that the herbs are pulsating with specific, programmed energies that are being released toward your goal. Next, select the properly colored cloth. Choose a natural fiber material such as felt, wool or cotton. Synthetic materials such as polyester seem to disturb the herb's frequencies. Cut the cloth into a square from four to nine inches across. Place the empowered herbs on the center of the cloth, gather up the ends and tie them firmly together. You've trapped the herbs within the cloth. Use a natural cord such as wool yarn or cotton twine to shut the sachet.
Using Sachets If it is a personal charm, hold it in your hand, squeeze it gently to release its fragrance, and carry with you at all times. If the sachet is designed for the house or car, squeeze and place it in the most appropriate spot. Replace with freshly made sachets every three months or so, disassembling and burying the old ones.

Add to a tub of tepid water-not hot. Bathe in this blend when you wish to cool down.

Bathe in this mixture to attract love and to expand your ability to give and to receive love.
NOTE: I've specified one drop of rose oil because of its high cost. More can be added if desired; rose absolute can be used in place of palmarosa, which is much less expensive.

Healing Bath
For use in speeding healing. Release the ailment into the water. Splash fresh water over your body before toweling. And don't bathe, of course, if your condition doesn't allow it.

High Awareness Bath
Bathe in this mixture to direct your consciousness toward higher things, to promote spirituality and to combat Earth-obsessions such as uncontrolled spending, overeating, sluggishness and all forms of unbalanced materialism.

Love Bath
For promoting and attracting love. Use with visualization, as with all of these formulas.

Use to increase your awareness of the divine, especially before religious rituals. NOTE: use only one drop of cinnamon essential oil.

Place a hand mirror next to the tub. Lie back, smell the scented water, and close your eyes. Relax. Be at peace. Visualize yourself as you wish to appear, then open your eyes. Hold the mirror before you face and see the new you.

"Break the Habit" Bath
To rid yourself of negative, baneful habits as well as their root causes: Place the sachet in the tub. After it has colored the water, step into it. Lie back in the water and visualize yourself happily avoiding the habit or other negative condition-smoking, drinking, drugs, depressions, obsessions and so on. Visualize the water absorbing your desire and need for the habit. See in your mind's eye all the energy you've been giving to this negative condition seeping out into the water. When you've visualized all that you can, pull the plug and sit in the tub until the water has drained out. Splash fresh water onto your body, washing away all traces of the taint. Repeat daily.

Dieter's Magical Bath
For best results, repeat this bath morning and night. While in the tub, visualize yourself as possessing complete control over your eating habits. See yourself eating sensible foods in sensible quantities. For symbolic associations, begin this bath regime two days after the Full Moon and continue until the New Moon. On the last day of the two-week period, visualize yourself as you wish to be-slim, fit, healthy.

Bathe in this mixture directly before practicing any form of divination, to relax the conscious mind and to stimulate psychic awareness.

Skin Lotion: Mix 1 teaspoon honey with 1 teaspoon vegetable oil and 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice. Rub into hands, elbows, heels or anywhere that feels dry. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse off with water.
